The 3am pickup. The 4:15am departure from home. The pre-dawn dash to make a 6am flight. These are the bookings we do most of all — and the ones where getting the details right matters most.
Why early morning taxis are different
An early morning airport run isn't just a later version of a daytime journey. The stakes are higher because there are no fallback options. If a 2pm taxi is late, you might catch another. If a 4am taxi is late, you probably miss your flight — and everything that goes with it.
This is why we operate differently for pre-dawn pickups.
What we do for early morning bookings
- Your driver confirms the night before — usually around 8–9pm — with a message or call to verify the pickup time and address
- We set multiple alarms and use a backup wakeup system for very early starts
- Your driver arrives 5 minutes early rather than on time — if we're not there early, something has gone wrong
- We keep your number active throughout the journey so you can reach us instantly

What you should do the night before
Our side of the early morning pickup runs smoothly when your side is equally prepared. A few things that genuinely help:
- Pack your bags the evening before — not at 3am
- Put your passport, boarding pass, and travel documents in one place you can find in the dark
- Set at least two alarms on separate devices
- Leave your porch or exterior light on so your driver can confirm they're at the right house
- Have your bags at the door rather than carrying them down from upstairs at the last minute
Which airports are most common for early morning pickups?
In our experience, Gatwick accounts for the majority of our early morning bookings — particularly for easyJet and TUI departures which heavily favour 06:00–07:00 slots. Heathrow long-haul departures often require 05:00–06:00 check-in, pushing pickups to 03:00–03:30. Stansted Ryanair flights are also notorious for very early departures.
Is there an extra charge for antisocial hours?
No. Our fixed price is our fixed price, whether your pickup is at noon or 3am. There is no out-of-hours surcharge, no night rate, and no bank holiday premium.
